During 2021 Dr. Chris Elisara worked with the multi-faith Food + Faith Coalition to engage with vital issues addressed at the UN Food Systems Summit held Sept. 23, 2021. This work, which included five separate multi-faith, multi-stakeholder dialogues corresponding to each of the five Action Tracks to explore how faith communities - including Indigenous communities - can support the transformation of global food systems to being sustainable, accessible, equitable, and regenerative led to a multi-faith statement on food systems. This statement reflected the principles and Calls to Action laid out by the speakers and the Food + Faith Coalition. The WEA/Lausanne Creation Care Network joined other faith organizations signing the "Food + Faith Interfaith Statement for the UN Food Systems Summit." To read the statement go to this link.
